Sometimes exaggeration goes too far
An open letter to TimesLedger Newspapers columnist Alex Berger:
I know selective exaggeration helps to make a point sometimes, but I think you have overdone it a bit in your July 15 column (“Summer vacation no excuse for ending a child’s vacation”). Twelve billion hours using Facebook and Twitter adds up to a staggering 1,369,863 years.
Just the same, I agree with your basic point that we need to spend more time educating and less time entertaining.
